Value Engineering
Value engineering is a budgeting, planning, and design technique that allocates more funds to the areas that are most important to you. Every homeowner has different priorities, and we will strive to understand yours and build your remodeling project around what is most important to you.
As an example of how value engineering shapes a project, let’s look at two hypothetical remodeling projects, both kitchen and master suite remodels with the same budget.
< Homeowner one loves cooking gourmet meals for her family and having friends over for dinner parties. For this project, we might use a larger portion of the budget on the kitchen to make it beautiful, functional, larger, and to incorporate professional-grade appliances. For this homeowner, a smaller portion of the budget would be used for the master suite.
 < Homeowner
two wants a beautiful and convenient kitchen but
not a professional-grade kitchen. Homeowner two also doesn’t
do as much entertaining. For homeowner two, the home is
a refuge from the busy world. For this project, we would
allow a greater part of
the budget to make the master suite and bath
as luxurious and relaxing as possible, with a high-end
whirlpool tub, a multi-head steam shower, large closets,
and a large
dressing area. In this case, a smaller
portion of the budget would be used for the kitchen.
The key to the success of both of these projects
is in our taking the time to understand the homeowners' needs
and wants and plan each project's budget around them.
One remodeling project will not fit every homeowner, but
one remodeling company can. You can count on us to take the
time to understand what you want, and to deliver on it.
