Our All-Pro Team Delivers for You
Maintaining a reputation for quality, service and high client satisfaction requires more than just having highly skilled staff at every level of our company. It requires that they be dedicated, trained and consistently focused on making sure our clients are happy not only with the work, but also with the process and our company.
 Ty Melton, President
More than two decades ago, Ty was working as a skilled cabinet and furniture maker. Before starting his own business, he traveled around the country installing millwork in new retail stores like Starbucks and The Body Shop. Once on his own, Ty began applying the exactness of a cabinet maker to remodeling and has been continually improving his processes and service ever since.
Ty is Melton’s chief visionary and focuses on making the company the leading remodeler in the Boulder area with a reputation for exceptional value, superior client service and quality craftsmanship. Because Ty is experienced in all aspects of remodeling from planning to carpentry to cabinet making, he is able to ensure that all people and processes at Melton are functioning at the highest level. In fact, Melton’s culture of accountability was even featured in Remodeling Magazine, a leading industry publication.
His dedication to building an exemplary organization was further recognized when Melton Construction received the remodeling industry’s coveted Big50 Award and was inducted into the Big50 Hall of Fame.
Ty has always felt it important to give back to his community. Over the years he has worked with the city and county of Boulder to develop green building practices, volunteered countless hours with Rotary’s INTERACT and RYLA clubs, served on the Board of Directors of Rotary and the Boulder History Museum, and has been a volunteer soccer coach with the YMCA, Boulder Force, and Boulder Indoor Soccer.

Our Other Staff
Our staff is selected not only for their high level of technical skill , but also for their people and communication skills. Before hiring, all staff members have a thorough background check.
On average, our key production staff including key field personnel have 18 years of industry experience. Together, our staff boasts almost 300 years of experience, which has contributed to our respected and acknowledged leadership in so many facets of our industry.
Melton completes most its work using staff members and not subcontractors. This allows us to have superior quality and scheduling control, meaning we can offer you a great Melton 3+6+10 Year Limited Warranty and an On-Time, On-Budget Guarantee.
Specialty Trades
While we use our staff for a greater percentage of our projects than most remodelers, it is sometimes necessary to use a specialty trade professional. We hand-select the ones we use and have worked with most for many years. We take the time to make sure they know what we expect from them, and often have a staff member at the site whenever one of these specialty trades is working. All our specialty trade partners are required to carry the appropriate licenses, workers compensation insurance and general liability insurance for their trade.
